Meeting Doctor Doom - Some scientists want to By Forrest M. Mims, III for eco-logic/Powerhouse April 15, 2006 There is always something special about science meetings. The 109th meeting of the Texas Academy of Science at Lamar University in Beaumont on 3-5 March 2006 was especially exciting for me, because a student and his professor presented the results of a DNA study I suggested to them last year. How fulfilling to see the baldcypress (Taxodium distichum) leaves we collected last summer, and my tree ring photographs transformed into a first class scientific presentation that's nearly ready to submit to a scientific journal (Brian Iken and Dr. Deanna McCullough, "Bald Cypress of the Texas Hill Country: Taxonomically Unique?" 109th Meeting of the Texas Academy of Science Program and Abstracts [ PDF ], Poster P59, p. 84, 2006). But, there was a gravely disturbing side to that otherwise scientifically significant meeting, for I watched in amazement as a few hundred members of the Texas Academy of Science rose to their feet, and gave a standing ovation to a speech that enthusiastically advocated the elimination of 90 percent of Earth's population by airborne Ebola. The speech was given by Dr. Eric R. Pianka (Fig. 1), the University of Texas evolutionary ecologist and lizard expert, who the Academy named the 2006 Distinguished Texas Scientist. Something curious occurred a minute before Pianka began speaking. An official of the Academy approached a video camera operator at the front of the auditorium, and engaged him in animated conversation. The camera operator did not look pleased, as he pointed the lens of the big camera to the ceiling, and slowly walked away. This curious incident came to mind a few minutes later, when Professor Pianka began his speech by explaining that the general public is not yet ready to hear what he was about to tell us. Because of many years of experience as a writer and editor, Pianka's strange introduction and the TV camera incident raised a red flag in my mind. Suddenly, I forgot that I was a member of the Texas Academy of Science and chairman of its Environmental Science Section. Instead, I grabbed a notepad, so I could take on the role of science reporter. One of Pianka's earliest points was a condemnation of anthropocentrism, or the idea that humankind occupies a privileged position in the Universe. He told a story about how a neighbor asked him what good the lizards are that he studies. He answered: "What good are you?" Pianka hammered his point home by exclaiming: "We're no better than bacteria!" Pianka then began laying out his concerns about how human overpopulation is ruining the Earth. He presented a doomsday scenario, in which he claimed that the sharp increase in human population since the beginning of the industrial age is devastating the planet. He warned that quick steps must be taken to restore the planet, before it's too late. Saving the Earth with Ebola Professor Pianka said the Earth, as we know it, will not survive without drastic measures. Then, and without presenting any data to justify this number, he asserted that the only feasible solution to saving the Earth is to reduce the population to 10 percent of the present number. He then showed solutions for reducing the world's population in the form of a slide depicting the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. War and famine would not do, he explained. Instead, disease offered the most efficient and fastest way to kill the billions that must soon die, if the population crisis is to be solved. Pianka then displayed a slide showing rows of human skulls, one of which had red lights flashing from its eye sockets. AIDS is not an efficient killer, he explained, because it is too slow. His favorite candidate for eliminating 90 percent of the world's population is airborne Ebola (Ebola Reston), because it is both highly lethal, and it kills in days, instead of years. However, Professor Pianka did not mention that Ebola victims die a slow and torturous death, as the virus initiates a cascade of biological calamities inside the victim that eventually liquefy the internal organs. After praising the Ebola virus for its efficiency at killing, Pianka paused, leaned over the lectern, looked at us, and carefully said: "We've got airborne 90 percent mortality in humans. Killing humans. Think about that." With his slide of human skulls towering on the screen behind him, Professor Pianka was deadly serious. The audience that had been applauding some of his statements now sat silent. After a dramatic pause, Pianka returned to politics and environmentalism. But, he revisited his call for mass death when he reflected on the oil situation. "And, the fossil fuels are running out," he said, "so, I think, we may have to cut back to two billion, which would be about one-third as many people." So, the oil crisis alone may require eliminating two-third's of the world's population. How soon must the mass dying begin, if Earth is to be saved? Apparently, fairly soon, for Pianka suggested he might be around when the killer disease goes to work. He was born in 1939, and his lengthy obituary appears on his website. When Pianka finished his remarks, the audience applauded. It wasn't merely a smattering of polite clapping that audiences diplomatically reserve for poor or boring speakers. It was a loud, vigorous, and enthusiastic applause. Questions for Dr. Doom Then came the question and answer session, in which Professor Pianka stated that other diseases are also efficient killers. The audience laughed when he said, "You know, the bird flu's good, too." They laughed again when he proposed, with a discernable note of glee in his voice that, "We need to sterilize everybody on the Earth." After noting that the audience did not represent the general population, a questioner asked: "What kind of reception have you received as you have presented these ideas to other audiences that are not representative of us?" Pianka replied, "I speak to the converted!" Pianka responded to more questions by condemning politicians in general, and Al Gore, by name, because they do not address the population problem, and "...because they deceive the public in every way they can, to stay in power." He spoke glowingly of the police state in China that enforces their one-child policy. He said, "Smarter people have fewer kids." He said those who don't have a conscience about the Earth will inherit the Earth, "...because those who care make fewer babies, and those that didn't care made more babies." He said we will evolve as uncaring people, and "I think IQs are falling for the same reason, too." With this, the questioning was over. Immediately, almost every scientist, professor, and college student present stood to their feet, and vigorously applauded the man who had enthusiastically endorsed the elimination of 90 percent of the human population. Some even cheered. Dozens then mobbed the professor at the lectern to extend greetings, and ask questions. It was necessary to wait awhile before I could get close enough to take some photographs. I was assigned to judge a paper in a grad student competition after the speech. On the way, three professors dismissed Pianka as a crank. While waiting to enter the competition room, a group of a dozen Lamar University students expressed outrage over the Pianka speech. Yet five hours later, the distinguished leaders of the Texas Academy of Science presented Pianka with a plaque in recognition of his being named 2006 Distinguished Texas Scientist. When the banquet hall filled with more than 400 people responded with enthusiastic applause, I walked out in protest. Corresponding with Dr. Doom Recently, I exchanged a number of e-mails with Pianka. I pointed out to him that one might infer his death wish was really aimed at Africans, for Ebola is found only in Central Africa. He replied that Ebola does not discriminate, kills everyone, and could spread to Europe and the the Americas by a single infected airplane passenger. In his last e-mail, Pianka wrote that I completely fail to understand his arguments. So, I did a check, and found verification of my interpretation of his remarks on his own website. In a student evaluation of a 2004 course he taught, one of Professor Pianka's students wrote: "Though I agree that convervation [sic] biology is of utmost importance to the world, I do not think that preaching that 90 percent of the human population should die of ebola [sic] is the most effective means of encouraging conservation awareness." Yet, the majority of his student reviews were favorable, with one even saying, "I worship Dr. Pianka." The 45-minute lecture before the Texas Academy of Science converted a university biology senior into a Pianka disciple, who then published a blog that seriously supports Pianka's mass death wish. Dangerous Times Let me now remove my reporter's hat for a moment, and tell you what I think. We live in dangerous times. The national security of many countries is at risk. Science has become tainted by highly publicized cases of misconduct and fraud. Must now we worry that a Pianka-worshipping former student might someday become a professional biologist or physician, with access to the most deadly strains of viruses and bacteria? I believe that airborne Ebola is unlikely to threaten the world outside of Central Africa. But, scientists have regenerated the 1918 Spanish flu virus that killed 50 million people. There is concern that small pox might someday return. And, what other terrible plagues are waiting out there in the natural world to cross the species barrier, and to which scientists will one day have access? Meanwhile, I still can't get out of my mind the pleasant Spring day in Texas when a few hundred scientists of the Texas Academy of Science gave a standing ovation for a speaker who they heard advocate for the slow and torturous death of over five billion human beings. "Implanted human beings can be followed anywhere. Their brain functions can be remotely monitored by supercomputers and even altered through the changing of frequencies," wrote Dr. Kilde. "Guinea pigs in secret experiments have included prisoners, soldiers, mental patients,handicapped children, deaf and blind people, homosexuals, single women, the elderly, school children, and any group of people considered "marginal" by the elite experimenters. The published experiences of prisoners in Utah State Prison, for example, are shocking to the conscience. "Today's microchips operate by means of low-frequency radio waves that target them. With the help of satellites, the implanted person can be tracked anywhere on the globe. Such a technique was among a number tested in the Iraq war, according to Dr. Carl Sanders, who invented the intelligence-manned interface (IMI) biotic, which is injected into people. (Earlier during the Vietnam War, soldiers were injected with the Rambo chip, designed to increase adrenaline flow into the bloodstream.) The 20-billion-bit/second supercomputers at the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) could now "see and hear" what soldiers experience in the battlefield with a remote monitoring system (RMS). "When a 5-micromillimeter microchip (the diameter of a strand of hair is 50 micromillimeters) is placed into optical nerve of the eye, it draws neuro- impulses from the brain that embody the experiences, smells, sights, and voice of the implanted person. Once transferred and stored in a computer, these neuro-impulses can be projected back to the person's brain via the microchip to be re-experienced. Using a RMS, a land-based computer operator can send electromagnetic messages (encoded as signals) to the nervous system, affecting the target's performance. With RMS, healthy persons can be induced to see hallucinations and to hear voices in their heads. "Every thought, reaction, hearing, and visual observation causes a certain neurological potential, spikes, and patterns in the brain and its electromagnetic fields, which can now be decoded into thoughts, pictures, and voices. Electromagnetic stimulation can therefore change a person's brainwaves and affect muscular activity, causing painful muscular cramps experienced as torture." Cincinnati, OH -- Police say modern technology foiled an old-fashioned bank robbery. A teller placed an electronic Global Positioning System device in a bag of stolen money, allowing police to track down a suspect in just 42 minutes Thursday. "Around here (GPS) is still relatively rare," Hamilton County sheriff's office spokesman Steve Barnett said. "But with the advancement in technology and the continued success of catching bank robbers, soon I would hope that other financial institutions would jump on board." Authorities said that after William Ingram, 46, left a U.S. Bank in suburban Colerain Township, the GPS device tracked him to a car dealership in Hartwell, where he was returning a Honda that he had borrowed for a test drive but actually used as a getaway car. When Ingram was confronted, money began spilling from his pockets, officials said. EDITOR'S Comment: There will be no place to hide for anyone who takes the Mark of the Beast. Three R's: Reading, Writing, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chips... Gary Stillman, the director of a small K-8 charter school in Buffalo, New York, is an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) believer. While privacy advocates fret that the embedded microchips will be used to track people surreptitiously, Stillman said he believes that RFID tags will make his inner city school safer and more efficient. Stillman has gone whole-hog for radio-frequency technology, which his year- old Enterprise Charter School started using last month to record the time of day students arrive in the morning. In the next months, he plans to use RFID to track library loans, disciplinary records, cafeteria purchases and visits to the nurse's office. Eventually he'd like to expand the system to track students' punctuality (or lack thereof) for every class and to verify the time they get on and off school buses. "That way, we could confirm that Johnny Jones got off at Oak and Hurtle at 3:22," Stillman said. "All this relates to safety and keeping track of kids.... Eventually it will become a monitoring tool for us." Radio-frequency identification tags -- which have been hailed as the next- generation bar code -- consist of a microchip outfitted with a tiny antenna that broadcasts an ID number to a reader unit. The reader searches a database for the number and finds the related file, which contains the tagged item's description, or in the case of Enterprise Charter, the student's information. Euro notes may be radio tagged... Hitachi is rumored to be in talks with the European Central Bank about embedding radio tags into euro banknotes. Radio tags the size of a grain of sand could be embedded in the euro note if a rumored deal between the European Central Bank (ECB) and Japanese electronics maker Hitachi is signed. "RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags also have the ability of recording information such as details of the transactions the paper note has been involved in. It would, therefore, also prevent money-laundering, make it possible to track illegal transactions and even prevent kidnappers demanding unmarked bills," Chopra said. Library adopts Spy Chips... A civil liberties watchdog group is expressing concern over the San Francisco Public Library's plans to track books by inserting computer chips into each tome. Library officials approved a plan Thursday to install tiny radio frequency identification chips, known as RFIDs, into the roughly 2 million books, CDs and audiovisual materials patrons can borrow. The system still needs funding and wouldn't be ready until at least 2005. Your car tires have RFID's chips in them ALREADY!!! Federal Drug Administration approves use of the Mark of the Beast for medical Patients... A tiny computer chip approved Wednesday for implantation in a patient's arm can speed vital information about a patient's medical history to doctors and hospitals. But critics warn that it could open new ways to imperil the confidentiality of medical records. The Food and Drug Administration said Wednesday that Applied Digital Solutions of Delray Beach, Fla., could market the VeriChip, an implantable computer chip about the size of a grain of rice, for medical purposes. With the pinch of a syringe, the microchip is inserted under the skin in a procedure that takes less than 20 minutes and leaves no stitches. Silently and invisibly, the dormant chip stores a code that releases patient-specific information when a scanner passes over it. Think UPC code. The identifier, emblazoned on a food item, brings up its name and price on the cashier's screen. At the doctor's office the codes stamped onto chips, once scanned, would reveal such information as a patient's allergies and prior treatments, speeding care. The microchips have already been implanted in 1 million pets. But the chip's possible dual use for tracking people's movements - as well as speeding delivery of their medical information to emergency rooms - has raised alarm. Mexico's Attorney General required the Mark of the Beast in a 160 people. Thousands more are now planned... MEXICO CITY, MEXICO - Security has reached the subcutaneous level for Mexico's attorney general and at least 160 people in his office - they have been implanted with microchips that get them access to secure areas of their headquarters. Mexico's top federal prosecutors and investigators began receiving chip implants in their arms in November in order to get access to restricted areas inside the attorney general's headquarters, said Antonio Aceves, general director of Solusat, the company that distributes the microchips in Mexico. Attorney General Rafael Macedo de la Concha and 160 of his employees were implanted at a cost to taxpayers of $150 for each rice grain-sized chip. More are scheduled to get "tagged" in coming months, and key members of the Mexican military, the police and the office of President Vicente Fox might follow suit, Aceves said. Fox's office did not immediately return a call seeking comment. Aceves said his company eventually hopes to provide Mexican officials with implantable devices that can track their physical location at any given time, but that technology is still under development. The chips that have been implanted are manufactured by VeriChip Corp., a subsidiary of Applied Digital Solutions Inc. (ADSX) of Palm Beach, Fla. They lie dormant under the skin until read by an electromagnetic scanner, which uses a technology known as radio frequency identification, or RFID, that's now getting hot in the inventory and supply chain businesses. Erik Michielsen, director of RFID analysis at ABI Research Inc., said that in theory the chips could be as secure as existing RFID-based access control systems such as the contactless employee badges widely used in corporate and government facilities. In addition to the chips sold to the Mexican government, more than 1,000 Mexicans have implanted them for medical reasons, Aceves said. Hospital officials can use a scanning device to download a chip's serial number, which they then use to access a patient's blood type, name and other information on a computer. Still, Silverman said that his company has sold 7,000 chips to distributors across the United States and that more than 1,000 of those had likely been inserted into U.S. customers, mostly for security or identification reasons. Because the Applied Digital chips cannot be easily removed - and are housed in glass capsules designed to break and be unusable if taken out - they could be even more popular someday if they eventually can incorporate locator capabilities. Already, global positioning system chips have become common accouterments on jewelry or clothing in Mexico. In fact, in March, Mexican authorities broke up a ring of used-car salesmen turned kidnappers who were known as "Los Chips" because they searched their victims to detect whether they were carrying the chips to help them be located. Bio-chip implant "VeriPay" arrives for cashless checkless society... At a global security conference held on November 21, 2003, in Paris, an American company, Applied Digital Solutions, announced a new syringe- injectable microchip "VeriPay" implant for humans, designed to be used as a fraud-proof payment method for cash and credit-card transactions. The chip implant is being presented as an advance over credit cards and smart cards, which, absent biometrics and appropriate safeguard technologies, are subject to theft, resulting in identity fraud. Cashless payment systems are now part of a larger technology development subset: government identification experiments that seek to combine cashless payment applications with national ID information on media (such as a "smart" card), which contain a whole host of government, personal, employment and commercial data and applications on a single, contactless RFID chip. "We are the only ones out there offering implantable ID technology," said Silverman, who announced the "VeriPay" service during a speech Friday at ID World 2003 in Paris. "We believe the market will evolve to use our product." VeriPay - Your Cash Register on the move... You can now accept credit card payments from your customers anywhere and anytime. You don't even need to make a phone call - transaction details are simply sent as an SMS text message and confirmed within a few seconds. Ensure the card is good and money is in your bank before you leave the job. No more end-of-day paperwork, visits to the bank or double handling of transactions. U.N. meeting hears proposal for global human database, ID numbers, to register everyone. Every person in the world would be fingerprinted and registered under a universal identification scheme to fight illegal immigration and people smuggling outlined at a United Nations meeting today. The plan was put forward by Pascal Smet, the head of Belgium's independent asylum review board, at a roundtable meeting with ministers including Australian Immigration Minister Philip Ruddock this afternoon. But he said the plan could be extended worldwide. Verichip, a miniaturized, implantable identification device with a variety of medical, security and emergency applications... VeriChip is an implantable, 12mm by 2.1mm radio frequency device about the size of the point of a typical ballpoint pen. Each VeriChip will contain a unique identification number and other critical data. Utilizing an external scanner, radio frequency energy passes through the skin energizing the dormant VeriChip, which then emits a radio frequency signal transmitting the identification number and other data contained in the VeriChip. The scanner will display the identification number, but the VeriChip data can also be transmitted, via telephone or the Internet, to an FDA compliant, secure data- storage site. It will then be accessible by authorized personnel. Inserting the VeriChip device is a simple procedure performed in an outpatient, office setting. It requires only local anesthesia, a tiny incision and perhaps a small adhesive bandage. Sutures are not necessary. Ex-New Jersey surgeon offers himself for experiment NEWARK -- The terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center have spurred a former surgeon from New Jersey to turn himself into a human guinea pig. Five days after the Sept. 11 attacks, Richard Seelig spent about five minutes implanting two "Verichips" -- each no larger than a small breath mint -- below the skin of his right forearm and right hip. Florida firm first to sell ID microchips to be implanted under skin... "Digital Angel": technology that cares The Digital Angel is a computer chip that is smaller than a grain of rice and has a short antenna. It is placed under the skin of a person and the chip sends a signal to cell phone towers and satellites in the sky and it can tell the body temperature, pulse, heartbeat, insulin levels, etc. and it also tells the location of a person anywhere in the world. All this information on a person would be available over the internet. This chip can also be put in furniture or anything of value for tracking in case of theft. It can also be put in food to record temperature and location as it is shipped across the country. The Digital Angel demonstration will be held on Thursday, October 26, at the Unconvention Center (Pier 94) in New York City. Roughly 200 invitations will be issued to interested members of the national media, potential joint- venture/licensing partners and selected Wall Street analysts. As previously announced, attendees of the event will witness an historical first: the first- ever operational combination of bio-sensor technology and Web-enabled wireless telecommunications linked to GPS location-tracking systems. Applied Digital Solutions (ADSX) holds all the patents on the Digital Angel. The projected worldwide sales is $100 billion dollars. The stock is currently selling at 36 cents a share. They call it "technology that cares." We call it the Mark of the Beast or 666. Back in 2000 Applied Digital Solutions used this above graphic for their Digital Angel product. The angel image on the left was a part of an early 'splash' screen for a GPS-based tracking device similar to OnStar or LoJack designed to be worn by or implanted in humans for medical monitoring, location of at-risk individuals, firearms control, and as "a foolproof means of identification for e-commerce security. The image in the center is the prior image inverted. Many people feel that the line drawing of the angel forms a clear and distinct pattern resembling the number 666 - the Number of the Beast from the Book of Revelations. Victims Rights!!

I would like to say something about Victims Rights. I want to give you something to think about . Do Victims have Rights? I know something about this subject. My son was murdered 10 years ago. All our justice system could think about is how to protect the murderers' rights. These were two cold-blooded murderers. They had their rights what about my son's rights. He didn't get his day in court, he has a grave. When my son was murdered that made me and my family victims. He was 23, where was Justice in that? I will be writing more on this subject later. I would like to share a poem with everyone. If you've lost someone you love, maybe this will give you some comfort. Our loved ones are always in our hearts and mind. This poem lets me know my (mother, father, and murdered son of 10 years) is still all around me. I miss them dearly. This poem is special to me, maybe it will be for you too. Do not stand at my grave Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on the snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn's rain. Fifty one year old woman was jailed for what? police harassment you decide!

Police should stand for law and order have respect for the citizens they protect even for small time non- violent person(s) who simply may have outstanding parking tickets. Regardless of race, color or gender when you call the police you expect to be treated in a respectful matter and for them to do their job that your hard earn tax dollars pays for. Crimes go unsolved and criminals still go free, crack dealers still deal and it is made legal for as long as they pay crack tax. Let me tell you a story about a private citizen who had no criminal record of any kind. Until the age of fifty one , if you can call it a charge. You tell me why she was charged with something that legally she could not be charged with . Here is her story: Her son was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time a few years back. He worked odd jobs staying out of trouble. Even though he was in violation of probation he was still staying in touch with his probation officer and lawyer. He walked the streets day and night, even going face to face with different officers and not one time was he arrested. He was finally arrested along with he’s mother while driving her son to get something to eat. It took a long line of cruisers as far as the eye could see to pull them over on the interstate. The mother tries to get her son to stay inside the car in spite of the mother the son runs. He runs straight across the interstate dodging traffic including tractor trailers. Officers chased after him on foot into the traffic putting their lives on the line as well as the motorists . They tasered him ( her son ) three times . He is arrested in someone’s front yard: before they get a chance to beat him. He points out the womon on the porch who has a camcorder, they stop and pick him up off the ground. While he’s in hand cuffs he asks for them to be loosen them instead officer (B.H)tightens the cuffs so tight it puts two holes in each wrist one an half quarter inches deep. All of this was for violation of probation no other charges where place on him expect for avading arrest. Threats where made prior to the arrest to the mother on how the officer(B.H) would hate to have to pick her son up off the side of the road in a body bag. Another comment was made by the same officer (B.H) said if he was ever caught in the vehicle and it did not stop they(officers) would fill it with bullet holes. That was two occasions ,the rest of the time the family’s apartment was surrounded by police all hours of the night as well in the morning hours. One neighbor states they were approached by the police along with the same officer(B.H) making prior threats. Making statements such as quote do you know the person in question? Neighbor: yes, have you met his mother? The nieghbor said yes. Officer(B.H): she is a real bitch, statements were also made that the woman’s son had: robbed convenient stores, chased down, robbed and beaten an eighty year old man, all which where made to the family’s neighbors.All allegations were false. I did not know police could lie like that. One neighbor States that the police where looking in the family’s vehicle with flash lights in the early hours of the morning. They even had their tasers drawn with the family’s home surrounded, at the door just standing around in a threatening matter. At one point in time the family's pet was on their two story balcony: the officer(B.H) had threatened to shoot and kill the family pet and with his holster unsnapped and his hand on the gun , he stated he would hate to shoot and kill the dog. This took place in the same night that the police pulled over and harassed Ms. M's other son and the officer(H.B) in which questioned him about his bother’s whereabouts. When everything was said and done the mother was charge with accessory after the fact for harboring a fugitive. If you look up the legal term or definition of fugitive it means: escapee, deserter, absconder, and outlaw, runaway. Therefore legally a person can not be charge with accessory after the fact for harboring a fugitive , if that person was not a fugitive to begin with. The womon’s court date followed a few months later in which she received a phone call made by a detective stating that they had a warrant for her arrest, when she asked for what? He in turn stated we may have a warrant for your arrest. Keep in mind this phone call was made to her one day before appearing in court. The same officer(B.H) was reported to the internal fairs department along with statements from neighbors, friends and family members who are willing to testify in court. Their ruling was that she did not have grounds for an investigation of the officer’s conduct in question. The statement from the neighbors, friends and family was to be considered as second hand information, they only interviewed the officer. Police officers ,what do they really stand for? criminals using the law to hide behind, no more then bullies, thugs who are allowed to be above the law. Do not get me wrong we do have some good police officers, we just don’t have enough of them. Stand up be counted do not stand for police harassment or police brutalty. Do we have to take harassement even if it wears a badge? NO !!!!!. Demand you rights.

Protesters set up at Central and Merchants!

The group of protesters decided to set up at the corner of Central and Merchants road against police harassment. In Oct. of 2006 she(Ms.M) and other members of the group along with her sister, stood for hours in the cold. Protesting against police harassment their signs read, Honk if you've been harassed by police? While protesting, a man approached the woman's sister yelling loudly in a very hostile manner, Who are you going to call when you need help, 911? The sister responded by asking who do you think you are, a cop? A: Yes, damn right I am a cop. Yes, you heard an off duty police officer harassing protesters. Shorty after the officer pulled out of parking lot reinforcements came. Before the protesters knew what had just happened police cour.sers where every where. Keep in mine that the protesters were not in the wrong. unless they were blocking a business or causing a disturbance. A few minutes later a patty wagon was called to the location, all in a effort to intimidate the protesters. They said the response from motorists was all worth it including watching the police watch them knowing that they could not do a damn thing about their protesting. If you see something wrong , do something about it. Speak up, be seen and be heard! I have a joke for you. Q:How many cops does it take to stop a violator of probation? A:The whole police Department.
